Spring is here! Well not quite, but Springfield is as Watercon, the midwest’s biggest water and environment show, hits town and AMS were back to Lincolns birth place to join the fun again.
The centre point between St Louis and Chicago on the old Route 66 Springfield always has a great fun feel to it and this year was no different, but this year had something extra special. John Donahue of North Park Public Water District, IL is the National President Elect of the AWWA and this is his home territory. A role rarely done by a Utility employee, it was great to hear his views on the sector and his plans for his upcoming year.
AMS’s Tom Williams was especially pleased to be invited to speak on THM control at this extra special show, flying the flag for online control. With so much exciting work going on across this area of the midwest it was a jam packed agenda. By day three we were sad to hit the road but glad for some time to reflect on what we had learnt
