HollyFrontier Cheyenne Refining LLC, a subsidiary of HollyFrontier Corp., Dallas, has purchased and installed the MetalGuard™ Selenium online analyzer to measure the wastewater selenium profile at the Cheyenne Refinery, Cheyenne, Wyoming.

SafeGuard™ is an automated trace metals analyzer for monitoring municipal and industrial water and wastewater. The system provides real-time, multi-stream analysis for a range of trace metal contaminants. SafeGuard delivers accurate and reliable results (up to 1 ppb or ± 15%, whichever is higher) with a typical measurement time of fewer than 30 minutes.

MetalGuard™ is the first fully automated, online multi-stream analyzer for monitoring trace metal contaminants such as arsenic, chromium-6, selenium and more. The online analyzer provides high frequency real-time data on trace metals contaminant levels in less than one hour with sensitivity down to 1 ppb.

MetalGuard™ Chromium is the first fully automated, online multi-stream hexavalent chromium (chromium-6) analyzer for monitoring drinking water with chromium contamination. The online analyzer provides high frequency real-time data on chromium contaminant levels in thirty minutes with sensitivity down to 0.5 ppb.

MetalGuard™ Selenium is the first fully automated, online selenium analyzer for monitoring industrial wastewater discharges. The analyzer provides real-time data on selenium contaminant levels in less than two hours with sensitivity down to 1 ppb for certain selenium species.

MetalGuard™ Arsenic is the first fully automated, online arsenic analyzer for monitoring drinking water arsenic levels. The online analyzer provides high frequency real-time data on arsenic contaminant levels in thirty minutes with sensitivity down to 1 ppb.

A California Water Utility experiencing elevated levels of hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)] in their drinking water supply is the first commercial application to use the MetalGuard™ Cr(VI) real-time water quality monitor developed by Aqua Metrology Systems.
