Medora Corporation Selects Aqua Metrology Systems for Real-Time Water Quality Data and Predictive Analytics

Medora Corporation (Medora) and Aqua Metrology Systems (AMS) have teamed up to deliver a complete trihalomethane (THM)compliance solution for water utilities to manage harmful disinfection byproducts (DBPs). Medora has announced that it will be using AMS’ online THM and THM Formation Potential analyzer, THM-100™, to provide real-time and predictive analytics data to design and operate its aeration system more efficiently, thereby saving utilities high treatment costs while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

SafeGuard™ H2O Mercury Remediation System Bench Test Report

The innovative SafeGuard™ H2O intelligent Hg(II) remediation system has been successfully demonstrated in a bench test study to remove ionic mercury in power plant wastewater. This novel technology generates a stannous ion reagent in-situ via an electrolytic process, providing a cost-effective alternative to highly challenging and expensive existing mercury treatment process.

Samsung Austin Semiconductor Improves Safety and Quality of Measurements for Copper Wastewater Streams with MetalGuard™ Analyzer

The semiconductor industry has found that traditional analytical methods for complexed copper in wastewater are not fit for purpose. Complexed copper cannot be measured using ion-selective electrodes and colorimetry technology faces a number of severe challenges. Faced with the challenges of colorimetry, Samsung Austin Semiconductors (SAS) evaluated the MetalGuard™ analyzer for its potential to significantly improve safety and quality of measurements for copper wastewater streams.

SafeGuard™ H2O Online Cr(VI) Treatment System Pilot Report

Innovative SafeGuard™ H2O intelligent Cr(VI) treatment system has been successfully demonstrated at the City of Los Banos in California. This novel technology generates a stannous ion reagent in-situ via an electrolytic process and also features an online Cr(VI) monitoring analyzer to ensure remediation of Cr(VI) to below 10 ppb. The technology provides an economical and reliable treatment for water systems affected by contamination from Cr(VI), a known carcinogen.

Online Cr(VI) Monitor Validates RCOF Process

A California Water Utility experiencing elevated levels of hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)] in their drinking water supply is the first commercial application to use the MetalGuard™ Cr(VI) real-time water quality monitor developed by Aqua Metrology Systems. The monitor was installed to provide high frequency, reliable, and accurate data on hexavalent and total chromium levels during the pilot test of a Reduction/Coagulation/Oxidation/Filtration (RCOF) process.

EU Utility Receives Accreditation for THM-100™

Aigües de Barcelona, the leading water utility in Spain, has received accreditation to the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Standard for the use of Aqua Metrology Systems’ online THM-100™ analyzer to continuously monitor trihalomethanes (THMs) in their dinking water supply network servicing 3,000,000 million inhabitants across metropolitan Barcelona.  In addition to providing the utility with contract compliance and process optimization data, THM readings can now be used to submit regulatory compliance data.

Simultaneous Cu/Se Measurement at AZ Copper Mine

Lowell Institute for Mineral Resources in conjunction with Sub Rosa Monitoring LLC has developed a fully automated and self-calibrating water quality monitoring system to measure surface and subsurface fluid flow and ground water quality for a copper mine in Arizona. After evaluating a variety of trace metals analytical approaches for integration into the broader water quality monitoring system, the University of Arizona selected the SafeGuard™ Duo online/offline analyzer from Aqua Metrology Systems due to its automation and precision.
