Intelligent Water Treatment Systems
Intelligent water treatment systems incorporate real-time sensing to ensure that their performance is optimized to avoid under- or over-treatment and that any deterioration in system performance is signaled to permit timely remedial intervention.
View ResourceInnovative Hexavalent Chromium Treatment System Has Been Successfully Demonstrated at the City of Los Banos
Aqua Metrology Systems has completed the successful demonstration of their SafeGuard™ H2O proof of concept for the treatment of hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) at the City of Los Banos in California. The novel technology generates a stannous ion reagent in-situ via an electrolytic process and also features an online Cr(VI) monitoring analyzer to ensure remediation of Cr(VI) to below 10 ppb.

Aqua Metrology’s CEO, Rick Bacon talks about the company’s online monitoring portfolio, providing water quality monitoring in real-time. At ACE17, the company focused on THM formation potential analysis for detecting future levels in a water system.
View ResourceSafeGuard™ Automated Trace Metals Analyzer
SafeGuard™ is an automated trace metals analyzer for monitoring municipal and industrial water and wastewater. The system provides real-time, multi-stream analysis for a range of trace metal contaminants. SafeGuard delivers accurate and reliable results (up to 1 ppb or ± 15%, whichever is higher) with a typical measurement time of fewer than 30 minutes.
View ResourceMetalGuard™ Online Trace Metals Analyzer
MetalGuard™ is the first fully automated, online multi-stream analyzer for monitoring trace metal contaminants such as arsenic, chromium-6, selenium and more. The online analyzer provides high frequency real-time data on trace metals contaminant levels in less than one hour with sensitivity down to 1 ppb.
View ResourceMetalGuard™ Online Chromium Analyzer
MetalGuard™ Chromium is the first fully automated, online multi-stream hexavalent chromium (chromium-6) analyzer for monitoring drinking water with chromium contamination. The online analyzer provides high frequency real-time data on chromium contaminant levels in thirty minutes with sensitivity down to 0.5 ppb.
View ResourceOnline Instrumentation is the Future
Rick Bacon, CEO of Aqua Metrology Systems, explains why online instrumentation is the future with Water Online Radio. Quarterly readings from a lab don’t give a real indication of what’s going on in a water system. Only online monitors can deliver high frequency reliable and accurate water quality data generated in real-time.
View ResourceOnline Cr(VI) Monitor Validates RCOF Process
A California Water Utility experiencing elevated levels of hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)] in their drinking water supply is the first commercial application to use the MetalGuard™ Cr(VI) real-time water quality monitor developed by Aqua Metrology Systems. The monitor was installed to provide high frequency, reliable, and accurate data on hexavalent and total chromium levels during the pilot test of a Reduction/Coagulation/Oxidation/Filtration (RCOF) process.
