The R.E. Badger Filtration Plant turned to AMS’s online THM analyzer, THM-100™, to obtain continuous and real-time data to characterize THMs in the distribution system and allow it to have an early indication of potential THM formation problems before they become a compliance issue.Read the case study.
A study released by the Environmental Working Group (EWG), found that a mix of pollutants in California drinking water could cause an estimated 15,500 additional cases of cancer over the course of a lifetime. While concerns about water quality and safety continue to grow, it is important to note that a number of California utilities are already implementing real-time, online monitoring to determine the presence of water-borne contaminants of concern and ensure drinking water safety at all times. AMS is helping these utilities to not only identify THM and trace metal contaminant threats, but also to diagnose critical treatment system performance once a solution has been put in place.Read the news article.
The rapid response benchtop THM-RR™ analyzer provides fast, reliable and accurate analysis of individual and total THM concentrations. For water treatment operators, consulting engineers and THM treatment system vendors the THM-RR delivers valuable THM performance data far faster than external laboratories.Read the brochure.
The article “EU Regulation Changes Hones Market for Disinfection By-product Solutions,” featured in the March 2019 issue of Global Water Intelligence (GWI) explores how the proposed regulatory changes and growing global concerns over the effects of disinfection by-products (DBPs) have brought the need for effective DBPs management into focus. AMS CEO Rick Bacon participated in the discussion and stressed the importance of real-time monitoring of THM Formation Potential in the management of all treatment systems for THM remediation.

Aqua Metrology Systems has partnered with Foundation Instruments, Inc. to expand its offerings of online and real-time monitoring of trihalomethanes (THMs) with the addition of Foundation Instruments’ THM-Rapid Response (THM-RR) online benchtop analyzer. The benchtop analyzer reports individual and total THM concentrations in real‐time so that utilities can be more proactive in responding to water quality changes and managing carcinogenic disinfection by-products (DBP).Read the press release.
The data from AMS online analyzers fulfill mission-critical functions of process control, risk management and contract compliance for its clients. With this in mind, AMS after-sales service support aims to maximize the uptime and minimize time to repair its analyzers. Every AMS system is offered with an annual service contract (ASC).Read the brochure.
Medora Corporation (Medora) and Aqua Metrology Systems (AMS) have teamed up to deliver a complete trihalomethane (THM)compliance solution for water utilities to manage harmful disinfection byproducts (DBPs). Medora has announced that it will be using AMS’ online THM and THM Formation Potential analyzer, THM-100™, to provide real-time and predictive analytics data to design and operate its aeration system more efficiently, thereby saving utilities high treatment costs while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Read the news article.
AMS presented a reliable, rapid, and online method for predicting the potential formation of THMs from raw or treated water at the CA/NV AWWA Fall Conference 2018.”Online Instrument for Raw-Water THM Precursor Analysis” detailed how this novel technology is helping utilities make adjustments to their treatment processes in real-time to minimize the production of THMs.View the presentation.
