At this well attended Conference in the warmth of Southern California considerable interest in AMS’s THM-100 was shown by utilities from the region for whom the drought is making management of raw water sources very challenging. The unique ability of the THM-100 to speciate chloroforms and bromoforms is highly relevant with the increasing presence of bromides in drinking water sources as a result of salt water intrusion into groundwater supplies. Moreover, a major advantage of the THM-100 was seen to be its ability to operate with changing water matrices and deliver high frequency readings that are more accurate AND reliable that laboratory based methods.
